NEWS FEED

More than traffic violations..

As police officers, we have an important mission to serve and protect our citizens by enforcing laws, investigating and preventing crimes, and protecting the public. We do our best to address all emergencies and requests as soon possible. Hamersville Police Department is committed to excellence. We hold ourselves to the highest standards. You can trust us to keep you and your loved ones safe and sound throughout your daily lives.

The drugs, guns and other assorted items/paraphernalia pictured here, is about half of what the officers in this town alone have seized in approximately 18 months time. The items pictured are all from cases that have been closed. When you see officers looking through a car on the side of the road this is what they are trying to find. Sometimes they search but find nothing, other times they find illicit items such as the cover photo for this page of the site, all found in one vehicle on a traffic stop.

Introducing our newest officer!

Presenting K-9 Zade!

Zade is the "Goodest" of boys, and joined our team in August of 2022. He is a two year old Belgian Malinois, who is being trained as a narcotics detection dog. Paired with his partner Patrolman Stone, they plan to work hard at getting the drugs off of the streets of Hamersville.

Policeman in he 1.png

A Policeman stood and faced his God,

which must always come to past.

He hoped his shoes were shining as brightly as his brass.

"Step forward now, officer. How shall I deal with you?

Have you always turned the other cheek?

To my church have you been true?

The officer squared his shoulders and said,

"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.

Cause those of us who carry badges can't always be a saint.

But I never took a penny that wasn't mine to keep,

though I worked a lot of overtime when bills just got too steep.

And I never passed a cry for help, though at times I shook with fear.

And sometimes, God forgive me, I wept unmanly tears.

I know i don't deserve a place among the people here.

They never wanted me around except to calm their fear.

If you have a place for me here, Lord, It needn't be so grand.

I've never expected or had too much.

But if you don't I'll understand.

There was a silence all around the throne where the saints had often trod.

As the officer waited quietly for the answer of his God.

Step forward now, officer, you've borne your burdens well.

Come walk a beat on heavens streets, you've done your time in Hell.
